When the phone is connected via EDGE/UMTS/HSPA the application isn't able to connect to the internet. The widget displays "No Internet Connection". No problems via WIFI. It seems that the API for mobile connection was changed in Android because other apps have had the same problem.
Device/Android version: Galaxy Nexus/4.1.1
I don't mean weather apps. One app is a public transit app. It couldn't connect through the cell network after the update from 4.0 to 4.1. I meant that an API on the Android OS itself might have been changed or modified in an update. I'm not a developer so I can only speculate.
The couple of people who have reported this issue to me have said that the problem doesn't exist in the latest version of the app (I'm not sure why anything would have changed though). Do you have the latest version? Would you be able to send me a logcat output if I send you an apk with logging turned on? Shoot me an email if you are willing (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thanks.
downloaded ur app today as recommended on xda forum and by far its amazing and will be with me for a long time.
I however, would also like to this problem as i am using GPRS, the best available here lol. Just to confirm my connection works without any problems but the weather eye widget does not update unless connected to wifi network. Im sure you are on it and will be fixed. I am using HTC One X stock OS 4.04.
